Spring Equinox Thoughts

The Spring Equinox has come and gone, and I’m enjoying life on our little plot of land. The tulips that I planted last fall are blooming much earlier than I expected. A bright red color, they bring a bit of cheerfulness to my garden.

Spring is a good time to make intentions for the year to come. New life and growth is everywhere. Growth can come from us, too. I’ve been thinking about what I might do to grow and change for the better. Thankfully, I realize now that my life is worthwhile just as it is. It always has been. But I can still think of ways to improve my life.

In honor of the Spring Equinox, I read a Welsh triad today. “Three things which are always increasing: the light of fire, the intelligence of truth, the life of existence – these are victorious over all things and are the end of darkness.”

Light, truth, and life wins. I’m going to remember this as the days grow longer. I find myself merging my spiritual life into the rhythm of the seasons. This seems like the natural way to live. It is comforting to go with the flow of the year. I am following nature’s lead, and I am nature.
