Spiritual Life Lately

Spring has made life absolutely beautiful lately. I’ve spent time in my garden, and have found that I just love to sneak away for a solitary moment or two in our woods. It is so peaceful, yet vibrant and full of life.

It’s not lost on me that I haven’t always truly listened to the forest as I do now. It’s like I can feel it is conscious, albeit in a different form than humans. I think with this perspective, you’ll never be lonely. I try to take it all in, walking slowly. Avoiding insects and trying not to disturb the plants too much.

An exciting development in my life is that we recently got under contract on a small piece of land with a babbling creek. I have been hoping and praying for this for awhile. There is something so special about water, and I am drawn to it. Likely because most of our bodies are made of water. It just makes sense.

I have been reading books about consciousness, and just contemplating life lately. I think life is good and holy, and we can see positives even in hard situations if we look for them.

I definitely don’t have everything in life figured out, but I’m hopeful that progress is being made.

Little steps can make a difference.
